VOLUNTEER PAGE

		Thank you for your interest in wanting to serve in FBC’s Children’s department. We offer many rewarding opportunities to serve throughout the year in various ministries.

Our existing ministries include the following:

Kid Blast	AWANA	VBS	Camp Kid Blast	Kid Sing
A highly targeted Outreach Ministry	Bible Discipleship Ministry	Evangelistic Outreach Ministry	Community Outreach Ministry	Worship Music-based Ministry
Meets at 9:30 & 11:00 every Sunday morning year round	Meets most Wednesday evenings from January through May 2012	One action-packed week every summer with a strong salvation message	Full day camp emphasizing Christian virtues in a unique way	Meets most Sunday evenings from September through December. Concludes with a Christmas musical.

Leader in Training Program (L.I.T.)

We also have a select number of volunteer positions within the above ministries that are geared specifically for middle school and high school-aged students. We refer to this as the L.I.T. program (Leader In Training). Volunteers under the age of 18 are encouraged to serve in the following capacities:

Ministry	Meets	MinimumAge/Grade Requirements
Kid Blast	Sunday Mornings at: 9:30 and 11:00	Age 11 and have completed the 5^th grade
AWANA	Wednesdays from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Program runs from January through May 2012	Must be in the 8th grade or higher grade
VBS	The last week of June every Summer	Age 12 and have completed the 6th grade
Camp Kid Blast	No camp scheduled Summer of 2011	Application process is now closed. No Volunteer positions available. Paid staff only

In addition to the minimum age and grade requirements stated above, applicants must demonstrate a lifestyle that reflects spiritual maturity and consistent growth. This includes attending a weekly worship service at First Baptist church AND regular participation in a Bible Study fellowship group. You are encouraged to apply if you meet these requirements.

The screening process is simply to ensure we place capable Christian leadership with the children in our care, and to ensure we match volunteers with both the needs of the ministry as well as the skill level of the individual.
