Leadership Development

Leadership is a topic that applies to everyone, yet most people assume that it never applies to them. Whether it is self-leadership, leading your family, leading one person, a small group, or a large organization, everyone is a leader in some capacity. Like a navigator planning for a long journey, there are many tools available to a leader, but we often lack a manual on how to use those tools. The Bible has a great deal to say about leadership and how we are to lead as we follow Jesus Christ.

The Leadership Development class at First Baptist Church at Weston is intended to equip you with the foundational skills and knowledge of leadership so you can lead in the home, church, workplace, and community. Based upon leadership as described in the Scripture, you will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the calling of leadership, the character necessary for leadership, and the comptencies needed for successful leadership.

The next Leadership Development class begins Wednesday night, January 4 with an introduction time in the Library. The first class begins Wednesday, January 11. The class is open to everyone.

The classes will be offered again beginning April 11.
