Teotihuacan, Mexico: Student Camp (Trip#1) and VBS (Trip#2)

The partnership between First Baptist Church at Weston and Pastor Juan Delfin and the people of Puerta de Fe y Esperanza enters its 8^th year. Teotihuacan is home to the 3^rd largest pyramid in the world and a military base, making the area a strategic location for planting churches. Security in the local area is good in light of these two factors.

Goals for Mexico

1.    Continue to partner with Puerta de Fe y Esperanza Iglesia Bautista to grow and develop the church though student camp and Vacation Bible School

2.    Assist the church in evangelism to reach the lost people of Teotihuacan and Acolman

3.    Assist the church in growing Vacation Bible School in Acolman, with the goal of planting a new church in the city in the future

4.    Assist the church in training the next generation of leaders by providing support for student camp planning and execution

How your giving helps in Mexico

1.    Provides resources to help the planning and execution of student camp and vacation Bible school

2.    Provides transportation for volunteers and participants in vacation Bible school

3.    Provides Pastor Juan and his congregation significant outreach opportunities to the cities of San Juan Teotihuacan as well as Acolman and its surrounding pueblas.

How you can participate in Mexico                                                              

1.    Serve as a chaperone and serve at student camp in Teotihuacan (Trip #1)

2.    Individuals and families can go to Teotihuacan and help with vacation Bible school (Trip #2). Trip #2 is a great family mission trip and trip for a person who has never done missions before

How you can pray for Mexico

1.    Pray for Pastor Juan Delfin, his wife Marcela, and children Hana and Isaac as they lead the church and plan to build a new building

2.    Pray for the leaders of the student camp and Michael Galeano as he serves as the camp pastor

3.    Pray for the spiritual development of the students participating in camp

4.    Pray for safety as the vans pick-up and drop-off children each day for Vacation Bible School

5.    Pray that parents, siblings, and grandparents will attend the closing ceremony for Vacation Bible School, and that they will be receptive to the Gospel

6.    Pray for the salvation of the children that will attend Vacation Bible School
