Hope Women’s Centers
Hope Women’s Centers exist to encourage and equip women to make informed choices regarding unplanned pregnancies. In 2010, there were a reported 12,186 abortions right here in our community - or 33 each day, according to the Florida Department of Vital Statistics. First Baptist Church at Weston supports Hope and encourages members who have a heart for this ministry to give and serve as volunteers. To learn more how you can help, go to www.friendsofhope.org. Delivering hope and help to "the least of these." Matthew 25:35-45
Out-Of-The-Van Homeless Ministry seeks to provide hope and help to the homeless in Broward County by providing socks and gift cards to fast food resteraunts to those who live on the streets. Weekly, the ministry goes to the parks, bridges, and other places that the homeless live at to minister to them right where they live and meet. You can help the ministry by donating new socks, $5 gift cards to for places like McDonald's, or volunteering to help meet the homeless and distribute items.

Operation Christmas Child
Every Christmas, First Baptist Church at Weston, led by our Children’s Ministry, joins with thousands of other churches to collect shoeboxes filled with toys, pencils, toothbrushes, and other items to help bring joy to the lives of boys and girls who are trapped in poverty. Most importantly, children who receive a box hear about how Jesus came to die for their sins. Operation Christmas Child happens every October/November. More information about 2012 gift collection will be coming soon.
Sheridan House
Sheridan House has the mission statement of “Honoring Christ by serving the needs of children and families.” They seek to meet that mission by maintaining residential homes to help equip children with behavioral problems, assist single mothers, and operate a counseling center to help children and adults with tackle a variety of issues faced by families today. Led by our Singles Ministry, members of First Baptist Church at Weston help families by purchasing, wrapping and delivering gifts on behalf of their incarcerated parent—not only delivering a message of love from parent to child, but also the true meaning of Christmas—the good news of Jesus Christ.

Compassion International ("CI") is an evangelical Christian child development ministry dedicated to addressing the needs of children around the world. More than a relief program, CI focuses on the real life needs of children spiritually, physically, economically and socially. CI's programs provide tangible benefits such as education, health monitoring and food when necessary, as well as developmental opportunities that can include formal schooling, skills training, health education, presenting of the Gospel, and motivation to acquire meaningful social skills. Compassion International was founded in 1952 by Everett Swanson with the inspiration by Jesus' words in Matthew 15:32, "I have compassion on the multitude. I will not send them away hungry."

Broward County Schools Youth Mentoring Program
Broward County Schools need individuals who are willing to help the next generation. Investing in the future of our youth by becoming a mentor to students who need the guidance of caring adults is a wonderful way to get involved. There are a variety of mentoring options available. Mentors are asked to make a commitment to meet with mentees for one hour a week throughout the school year. This is a great way to build relationships with students and serve the community.
