The Discipleship classes offered at First Baptist Church at Weston are intended to help you grow in Christ by helping you learn the basics of what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. These classes cover a wide variety of topics appropriate for new believers and those who have been believers for many years.
Our basic classes are the foundational tools for Know, Grow, Serve, and Share. Although you will receive the greatest benefit by taking these classes with others, we are now offering the Discovery and Essentials material online. Click on the links below to acces the material.
DISCOVERY CLASS (KNOW)
This class introduces you to what it means to be a Christian and introduces you to what First Baptist Church at Weston believes.
ESSENTIALS OF DISCIPLESHIP CLASS (GROW)
It is intended to help ground new and experienced Christians in the basics of what it means to be a disciple.
SHAPE CLASS (SERVE)
A person can use the tools and material from this class to discover how God has uniquely prepared each person for ministry in the church. God has a role within the church and the kingdom that only you can fill.
PEACE EVANGELISM CLASS (SHARE)
Every follower of Christ is called to share their faith with others. This class will help you discover that sharing your faith is as simple as telling people your story and God's story.
In addition to the above "foundational" classes, First Baptist Church at Weston offers other discipleship opportunities to help you learn more about what it means to be a disciple.
Crown Financial Small Group Study: This ten-week class will help equip you to handle your finances biblically. At the end of the study, you will leave with a personalized budget and plan to manage your resources wisely.
