First Baptist at Weston

Shadowood II is a structured group home that serves adults living with HIV/AIDS in downtown Fort Lauderdale.  Their mission statement is "to provide a variety of housing and supportive services to low-income or indigent people living with HIV/AIDS, while improving the quality of life and allowing them to maintain their independence and dignity, within a multicultural and non-judgmental environment."  Located at 307 SW 5th Street in downtown Fort Lauderdale, they have a 55 bed facility that accommodates 45 males and 10 females in separate dormitories. 

First Baptist Church at Weston is volunteering time and resources to serve the staff and residents at Shadowood II.  We want to demonstrate the love of Christ by giving them "a cup of cold water" in the name of Christ.

We have started a Bible study for the residents at Shadowood.  The study takes place at 6:30 pm and lasts until 7:45 pm every other Thursday.  Upcoming dates for the Bible study:

• January 15 
• February 5
• February 19
