Are you searching for peace in your life?  Many people spend time looking for peace and meaning in their life through money, prestige, power, or pleasure.  However, those things never bring the lasting peace that people desire.  We have good news that can help you find peace.

1.  God Loves You

God loves you and wants you to have peace with Him and eternal life (heaven).

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."  John 3:16

"...I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."  John 10:10

"...justified through faith, we have peace with God..."  Romans 5:1

2.  Sin Separates You

Why do most people not experience the peace and life God planned for us?

The Bible explains that we are separated from God because of sin.  The result is no peace and no life.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."  Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death..." (Separation from God)  Romans 6:23

3.  Good Works Will Not Bring Peace

Most people try to find peace by doing good works, practicing religion/philosophy, or being moral. 

"There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death."  Proverbs 14:12

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."  Ephesians 2:8

SO HOW CAN A PERSON HAVE PEACE WITH GOD AND ETERNAL LIFE?

4.  Jesus Christ Is The Only Way

God has provided the only way to have peace with Him and eternal life (heaven).  His name is Jesus Christ.

"...While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."  Romans 5:8

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."  John 3:16

"...I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me."  John 14:6

5.  Repent

To have God's peace and receive His gift of eternal life, you must turn from sin (repent), and place your trust (faith) in Jesus Christ alone.

"...Repent and believe the good news!"  Mark 1:15

"...if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."  Romans 10:9

You can do this right now by praying a simple and sincere prayer.

Dear God,

I confess that I am a sinner and ask for Your forgiveness.  Please help me as I turn from my sin and turn to You.  Jesus, I believe that You died for my sin.  I believe that You rose from the dead as Lord.  I invite You to have complete control of my life and accept your gift of eternal life.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

Congratulations!  You are now a part of God's family! 

6.  Assurance

God provides you with assurance that you now have His peace and eternal life.

(Jesus said)"...I go and prepare a place for you,I will come back and take you to be with Me..."  John 14:3

(Jesus said)"...My peace I give you..."  John 14:27

"He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life." 

I John 5:12

God wants you to know more about Him and grow in your relationship with Him.  You can do this by:

• Reading the Bible (start with John's Gospel)
• Praying to Him daily
• Participating in a small group Bible study
• Worshiping at church
