And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

The great truth of Scripture is that each person has been created in order to have a personal relationship with God.  Once a person comes to faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit begins the process of transforming us into the image of Christ.  This process of transformation takes place through Bible study, prayer, and other spiritual disciplines.  Although our salvation and our walk with Jesus is personal, it is never private.

Small groups provide the environment for a person to wrestle with the Bible, ask questions, and learn from other's experiences of what God has done in their life.  Colossians 2:2 tells us that it is by being united in love (in fellowship with other believers) that spiritual growth takes place.
