ec_7.jpgWhat to Expect on Sunday Mornings

We have created a stimulating, safe and nuturing environment for your child to enjoy while in our care.  Our Early Childhood department is staffed by a group of trained and background-checked volunteers and paid staff.  In addition, all paid staff members have been trained and certified in child first aid and CPR techniques.  We also ensure the optimal child-to-teacher ratios are maintained based on head count and classroom size.

Babies and One Year Olds

While in our Nursery, babies get a first impression of our loving Heavenly Father.  These little ones enjoy Biblically based music and age appropriate toys that are sanitized and rotated at each service.

One year olds are loved in an environment that encourages exploration in a stimulating classroom that is full of toys, books, puzzles and music.

Toddlers and Two's

Toddlers are loved in an environment that encourages exploration.  While divided into groups of younger and older two's, leaders interact with children in this stimulating classroom full of toys, books and puzzles.  They enjoy listening to Biblically based music and are introduced to Bible lessons in a hands-on way.

Three's and Four's

Older preschoolers are introduced to traditional classroom activities that foster Biblical knowledge by using crafts, learning centers and group games that support the day's Bibles lesson.

Getting Your Child to the Right Class

The welcome table is located on the north patio just outside the Worship Center.  If attending for the first time, our volunteers at the welcome table will assist you in resgistering your child in the appropriate class.  You will be asked to complete a registration form and your child's name will be added to the class roster the following week.  Vibrate notification pagers are available at the welcome table.  Please ask a volunteer if you would prefer to have one.

If your children have attended previosuly, simply find their names on the class roster and sign them in.

Security Tags

Finally, as your most imporant step, we ask that you complete a child identification label.  Affix the nametag portion on your child's back and retain the claim check portion.  This will serve as proof that your child belongs to you when you pick him/her up at the end of service.

Dismissal Procedures

Your child may be picked up directly from his/her assigned classroom.  Teachers will release children exclusively to the parent or guardian with the security claim check that matches the child's identification nametag.  Children cannot be released to siblings or persons under the age of 18.

What happens if I don't have the claim check?

Good question!  If you do not have the claim check, the Nursery/Early Childhood Director will be summoned and positive identification will be made prior to the child being released.
